This week's recycling event progress is as follows:

[Jiangsu 95,000 mt Lithium Battery Recycling Project to Be Launched] Recently, the Environmental Protection Bureau of Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province officially announced the acceptance of the environmental impact report for the "High-value Resource Recycling Project of Scrap Lithium-ion Batteries" by Jiangsu Tianneng New Materials Co., Ltd. The project will eventually form an annual processing capacity of 30,000 mt of scrap lithium batteries (including 20,000 mt for regeneration and 10,000 mt for echelon sorting), 10,000 mt of positive/negative electrode off-cuts, 15,000 mt of electrode/battery material powder, 20,000 mt of nickel hydroxide (a rough-processed product in the battery material industry chain, excluding hazardous waste), and 20,000 mt of cobalt hydroxide (a rough-processed product in the battery material industry chain, excluding hazardous waste).

[Jilin 4 Billion Yuan Power Battery Project Launched] According to the agreement, Zhongceng Energy plans to add a 3GWh titanium-lithium high-energy power battery production project to the original project, increasing the investment by 1.5 billion yuan on top of the original 2.52 billion yuan, with a total investment reaching 4.02 billion yuan. Upon completion, the total power battery capacity of Zhongceng Energy's Gongzhuling project will reach 8GWh, with an estimated annual output value of 7.344 billion yuan and an annual tax revenue of 670 million yuan at full capacity.

[10,000 mt Lithium Battery Recycling Project to Be Constructed] On April 10, Linyi Yihe New District released the acceptance announcement for the 10,000 mt scrap lithium battery recycling and reuse project by Linyi Buchi Weimang Environmental Protection New Materials Co., Ltd. The project will build a new 10,000 mt scrap lithium battery material recycling production line. Scrap lithium batteries, scrap pole pieces, and scrap battery cells will be processed through sorting, disassembly, coarse crushing, screening, secondary crushing, and fine sorting to recover scrap battery powder, scrap cell powder, and scrap pole piece powder, and to recover metals such as copper, aluminum, and iron for downstream enterprises to recycle and reuse.

[Lithium Battery Cathode Material Project Launched in Shehong, Sichuan] The signed lithium battery cathode material production project plans a total investment of approximately 5.6 billion yuan. Previously, Fulin Industrial Group has successively invested in the construction of three projects in Suining. Among them, the first and second phases of the LFP project have completed an investment of 1.86 billion yuan, with a completed and operational LFP capacity of 110,000 mt, achieving an output value of 6.118 billion yuan in 2024.

[10,000 mt Lithium Battery Recycling Project Launched in Anhui] Recently, the Environmental Protection Bureau of Huainan City, Anhui Province officially released the second public notice for the environmental impact assessment of the "New Energy Lithium Battery Recycling and Comprehensive Utilisation Project" by Anhui Jiushi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. It is understood that the total investment of the project is 120 million yuan, including 6.1 million yuan for environmental protection, accounting for 5.08% of the total investment. The types of scrap lithium batteries processed by the project are power-type and digital lithium-ion batteries, including ternary lithium batteries and LFP batteries, with an input ratio of 1:1.

[Battery Key Material Project in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Accelerates] After completion, the new energy battery key material project by Jiangsu Kaishi Jinqiao New Materials Co., Ltd. will have an annual production capacity of 168,000 mt of new energy battery key materials and related products, including 100,000 mt of ternary cathode precursor, 60,000 mt of battery-grade nickel sulphate crystals, 8,000 mt of battery-grade Mn3O4, 30,000 mt of electrodeposited nickel, and 7,000 mt of electrodeposited cobalt.
